Are you bout dat life? Because here in Orion, we sure are! If you don’t know what means, then you ain’t bout dat life. To simply explain it, bout dat life is a family and a lifestyle. I have not found a more stronger and loving family (other than my biological one of course) than my Orion family. This is evident from RA connections training and our events, you can see how much fun we’re having all while working so hard! I guess it’s all because we’re here to support and help out one another. And it’s true that we really do have the cutest and nicest staff in all of UCF!
During training, we did a community bonding competition with our sibling community, Gemini. Even though they won, we still had high spirits and had fun!
My floor partner is Sam and she is just amazing! We work together well as a team and gets things done on time, if not, earlier! I love her! Then there’s Christy, my duty partner every Thursday. She’s just so sweet and funny, I’m so happy she’s my Thursday partner!
My resies (residents) are bout dat life. I have people on floor that are football players (great job on the win against Akron Zips), from Germany, ballet dancers, cooks, journalists, video game junkies, involved in Greek life, LEAD scholars and everything else in between! These girls decorated their doors and made cupcakes to give out to people on our floor. I love you all!
My floor is bout dat life. It’s Olympics themed and we have torches all over the halls, Olympic banners in the center of the hallway and each door tag is customized as a different former/future host country. Here’s the bulletin board on our floor:
Even Doug, our office assistant, is bout dat life. Our first week here, he made us welcome cards! It made my day when I saw this!
JP, our Area Coordinator, is always supportive, a little laid-back, but makes sure business is taken care of while making sure we all have fun doing it! He’s very creative, ambitious and has a lot of ideas. All of his ideas are great…except for his phone answering protocol, which epically failed.
So there, I love my staff and I won’t trade them for any other community!
