I am an orientation leader for UCF this summer. For my group name, I decided on Peter Pan’s Wishes. I chose Peter Pan’s Wishes because I love all things Disney, it reflects my major (hospitality management), and it has a lot of meaning to it, that anything is possible if you keep on dreaming and wishing.
The minute I decided on Peter Pan’s Wishes, I wanted to give my students that Disney feel. I wanted them to have an orientation experience that they won’t forget. I want Peter Pan’s Wishes to be more than just a small group name. I have several traditions planned in my small group time with my students that will make orientation a fun and memorable experience for them!
For my name tag, I wanted that Disney look infused with UCF’s colors.
The overall theme art that I decided to go with is fantasy and wonder. That’s how I came up with using these abstract flowing colors that can be seen on my Facebook group and Twitter page. I am absolutely in love with the design. I am a huge graphic design nerd! The fonts used are Waltograph, Gotham and Myriad Pro. The concept art is actually inspired by one of my favorite things in the world. I have to give credit where credit is due and the concept art is from the concept art of Eurovision 2009 in Moscow. I absolutely loved their theme art throughout the event and I wanted to incorporate that into my small group graphics.
This is my orientation small group poster board sign. This was inspired by my favorite Norweigan graphic design company that designed the graphics for Eurovision 2010. It’s simple, yet eye catching. I love it!
